Since 1978, the Mine Safety and Health Administration has issued Certificates of Achievement in Safety to eligible mine operations. These awards are set aside for operations that meet the highest safety standards nationally and have met exceptional milestones of hours worked without a lost time injury. Recently, three of County Materials Corporation’s mining locations received the prestigious award for accomplishments made in 2017.

The first location recognized was County Materials’ Crushing Spread Plant in Marathon, WI which at the time of the award met 5,354 employee hours worked without a lost workday injury in 2017. The Trempealeau, WI location also received the award for meeting 5,255 employee hours worked without a lost workday injury in 2017.
