County Materials’ Premier Ultra Burnished Masonry Units were used to achieve a bold and modern look for this manufacturing facility in Fitchburg, Wisconsin. Project leaders specified Premier Ultra units for their exceptional durability and design flexibility. To create an eye-catching design that complements the building’s stone and metal architectural details, the architect used four colors and multiple sizes of masonry units in a variegated pattern. The project won Best of Show in the Wisconsin Masonry Alliance’s 2022 Excellence in Masonry Awards for its creative use of concrete masonry units.
