County Materials Partners with Habitat for Humanity to Help a Wisconsin Family
County Materials partners with Habitat for Humanity to support families in need of housing. Families participate in the construction of their own homes alongside volunteers and benefit from affordable mortgage options. Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to enhancing communities by providing safe and affordable housing, which contributes to improvements in health, safety, child development, economic opportunity, and educational outcomes. Located in all 50 states and 70 countries, Habitat for Humanity advocates for and supports families in need worldwide.
In the fall of 2023, Habitat for Humanity of Waukesha and Jefferson Counties received a grant from County Materials through the Sonnentag American Foundation. These funds were utilized to install a rail and harness system to assist the Anderer family in transporting their wheelchair-bound son, Emory, within their new home.
“Your contribution played a major role in offsetting the costs associated with making these customizations to drastically improve the Anderers', and especially Emory's, quality of life. On behalf of all of us at Habitat for Humanity of Waukesha & Jefferson Counties, thank you,” said Brett Peloquin, Director of Development & Marketing at Habitat for Humanity of Waukesha & Jefferson Counties.
County Materials, through the Sonnentag American Foundation, supports dozens of worthy organizations and causes in four service areas, including Hunger and Homelessness Support, Service Member and Veteran Support, Sexual Abuse and Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring and Skills Building.
