Throughout the school year, County Materials supports communities where the company has locations by donating tools, supplies, and funding for student technical education. County Materials makes regular donations to industry organizations and classrooms for students to get hands on experience with the materials and tools of the construction and manufacturing industries.
Last year County Materials donated to many programs including the following:
+Material donation to DC Everest High School in Schofield, WI.
+Funding for the Athens, WI high school to acquire welding and machining equipment in the school’s technical education classes.
+Material and tool donations to the Marathon, WI high school’s construction trades course.
+Funding to send dozens of students to SkillsUSA, from Wausau West, Wausau East, and DC Everest high schools.

The SkillsUSA event is a partnership of students, teachers and industry representatives, working together to ensure America has a skilled work force and serves students preparing for careers in trade and skilled occupations. The event hosts industry representatives to teach students about available career opportunities, and challenges students with many competitions. Competitions will be conducted in a wide array of skill sets, including Masonry, Architectural Drafting/CAD, Automotive Service Technology, Cabinetmaking, Cosmetology, Culinary Arts, Robotics and Automation, Welding, Woodworking, and dozens more.
County Materials’ efforts in promoting the construction and manufacturing industry in local high schools demonstrates the company’s commitment to its Vision of Success, Stability and Support.
