Making Spirits Bright with the Salvation Army

Jan 16, 2024

County Materials is proud to partner with the Salvation Army. This holiday season, we invited our team members to donate supplies to help combat hunger and homelessness in our local communities. Participating locations ran donation drives to collect food, cash, hygiene, and care items. We thank our team members for their generosity and for supporting community.

Here are the results from participating locations in Wisconsin:

  • Appleton: 156 pounds of food
  • Custer & Stevens Point (combined): $1,000
  • Holmen Pipe: 113 food items
  • Madison Pipe: $100
  • Marathon: 102 personal care and hygiene items
  • Rib Falls: 10 food items

The Salvation Army provides immediate relief, short-term care, and long-term growth for individuals struggling with poverty or crisis situations. The organization offers food, shelter, addiction resources, and human trafficking intervention.

County Materials partners with organizations like the Salvation Army through the Sonnentag American Foundation, emphasizing four key service areas: Hunger and Homelessness Support, Veteran and Service Member Support, Sexual Abuse and Domestic Assault Services, and Mentoring and Skills Building.
