Solution: Concrete masonry was specified to upgrade Tomah’s emergency service building.
Concrete Masonry Provides Functionality and Style for Emergency Service Building
The City of Tomah has built a brand new emergency service building, creating a more spacious and efficient facility to house both fire and ambulance services. This $13.5 million project features County Materials’ masonry products to enhance the building’s durability and visual appeal.
The facility features Heritage Collection Designer Concrete Brick in Regency Red Blend with pigments seamlessly integrated throughout the block using a County Materials' integral color-blending process, rather than only coating the surface. The Heritage Collection combines the classic charm of traditional clay brick with concrete masonry's structural strength and cost-effectiveness.
Premier Ultra Burnished Masonry Units in Solstice and North Star were used to complement the red concrete brick units, creating a traditional firehouse appearance. These units are integrally colored and ground smooth to expose natural aggregates, replicating the appearance of hand-cut stone at a more affordable cost. Premier Ultra units are designed for fire resistance and to withstand extreme weather conditions and physical impacts, making them ideal for public safety infrastructure.
