Long lead times and high costs prompted project leaders to reconsider using premanufactured walls for a new car wash in Merrill, Wisconsin. Concrete masonry units were eventually selected for their ready availability and affordability. County Materials supplied 1,500 SF of splitface masonry units in Blackened Ash and 7,200 SF in Gray to achieve a two-tone design. Construction started in September and was completed two weeks later, comfortably in time for the winter car wash season.
