Solution: Concrete masonry units provided a durable and cost-effective solution for this renovated poolhouse.
Beloved Community Pool Renovation Features Concrete Masonry
For more than 60 years, families have made summer memories and learned lifelong skills at the Ridgewood Pool, the oldest outdoor community pool in Madison, Wisconsin. In 2023, after a seven-year fundraising effort, the community completed a major renovation to prepare the facilities to last another 60 years.
The renovated poolhouse includes concessions, bathrooms, and office space. The façade features 1,500 SF of Premier Ultra Burnished Masonry Units in Dawn installed in an eye-catching pattern that uses accent blocks with a horizontal score. The warm beige color of the polished units closely matches the other siding elements, allowing the textural differences between the two materials to stand out. The ground surface of Premier Ultra Burnished units provides a refined beauty worthy of a beloved community gathering place.
Premier Ultra Burnished units are manufactured in structural load-bearing, full, and thin veneer units and are favored by designers for their versatility.
Project Highlights:
Engineered for lasting value and proven to withstand the elements, concrete masonry units are a durable and cost-effective solution that provides long-lasting value for community institutions. The members of this pool can look forward to enjoying their new poolhouse for decades.
