Solution: Heritage Collection Designer Concrete Brick enhances aesthetics of resort-style apartment complex
Concrete Masonry Boosts Aesthetics and Property Values for Luxury Apartment Complex in Growing Iowa Community
The Standard at 36th is a luxury apartment complex in Ankeney, Iowa, offering residents resort-style living and maximum convenience. Amenities include a pool, outdoor grills and fireplaces, fitness center, and dog park, and the location allows for quick access to I-35 for commuting to Ames and Des Moines.
To complement the luxury amenities of the complex, designers chose high-end materials for the building’s exterior. They specified Heritage Collection Designer Concrete Brick in Smokey Mountain and White for the majority of the façade, with elements such as dark window trim, wooden beams, and black and white paneling adding dramatic contrast and visual interest.
Heritage Collection Designer Concrete Brick blends the traditional aesthetics of brick with the advantages of concrete masonry, including structural strength, fire resistance, sound control, and energy efficiency. Available as either structural load-bearing or veneer units in dozens of colors and four finishes, Heritage Collection offers unparalleled design flexibility.
Project Highlights:
Engineered for lasting value and proven to withstand natural and manmade disasters, concrete masonry units can boost resale and property values compared to alternative materials. County Materials manufactured and delivered 37,000 SF of concrete masonry units to support the construction of this new apartment complex, which fills a need for high quality residential units in the growing suburbs between Des Moines and Ames.
